I absolutely love my June Birchbox! The featured item this month was Benefit’s new Gimme Brow fiber gel brow filler, and I was SO excited to give it a shot! My brows are hilariously thin, so I will give any brow product a shot to impress me. More on that later.

Birchbox is a monthly beauty box that comes with 5-6 samples of top brands for $10/month. The products are usually a wide range of things, but are primarily makeup, skin care, hair products, and perfume. They currently offer a great reward point system where you can earn $$$ to spend in the Birchbox shop on full-sized products, but the system is changing a bit so time might be running out on that. Fingers crossed they bring it back one day!

Gimme Brow by Benefit – This new brow collection from Benefit has been highly anticipated (by me) so we’ll start there. The spooly brush is easy to use, and the formula contains gel fibers that build your brows and fill in gaps without looking unnatural. I’ve tried the original Gimme Brow (I think it was still called that) and this one is definitely better. Liquid formulas can be a little messy, but it dries quickly and is easier to work with than I anticipated.

The video on the site shows some back-combing to fill it in even further, but that didn’t work super well for me. Practice makes perfect, I suppose. I will keep working on this to get to hang of it, but for now I think I’ll stick to my Tonya Crooks BrowGal pencil (it’s the best).

Shave Cream by Whish – This is the kind of product I like to see now that summer is here(ish)! This shaving cream is ultra hydrating with jojoba seed oil, green tea, and coconut oil, plus squalane to reverse dryness and vitamin K to minimize spider veins. The only problem with Whish samples is that they are so low. I wish this bottle was filled to the max because I want more!

Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector by Living Proof – This is an overnight hair treatment that softens and protects hair for a full week after. I haven’t used it yet, but I love Living Proof products and I have a feeling this will be awesome as well.

Coola Mineral Face SPF 30 Matte Tint – Yet another summer-appropriate item, I am psyched about getting a good face sunscreen. Bonus, it is also a BB cream that has a tint to it! I hate layering sunscreen under my makeup, so I gravitate toward BB creams that have SPF in them. SPF products tend to leave your skin shiny, but this one is matte!

Air Repair Complexion Boosting Moisturizer – I’m excited to try this. I’ve seen rave review for it on the Birchbox site before but I have never tried it. It contains hyaluronic acid, which we all know is great for keeping your skin moisturized and young looking. I just ran out of my normal moisturizer, so we’ll see how this holds up in the meantime.

Final rating: A

I liked everything in this box, it was seasonally appropriate (why do some subscriptions have such a hard time with keeping summer things in the summer?), and everything was a larger-than-normal sample size. Looking forward to the next one!
