Hi everyone! I feel like it’s been a little while since I’ve written an actual blog because I’ve been so busy making YouTube videos! I’m getting more used to being in front of the camera but I’m almost using immersion therapy to get better and more comfortable. 🙂 You’ll definitely be seeing more videos from me in the next week or so. But of course… I can’t forget about the heart of the blog… which is the blog. Haha.
As I’ve mentioned before, I think the #MorpheMe Brush Club might be my current favorite subscription. I love Morphe brushes already and I love getting more! You cannot have too many brushes. I think that’s a law. If it’s not, I need to call Ted Cruz and see what we can do about it.
Price: $19.99/month (free shipping in the U.S.)
Box Type:Â Morphe makeup brushes, delivered to you each month! (You can never have too many brushes, trust.)
Why you’ll love it: Each month is a surprise but you will receive AT LEAST $30+ in Morphe brushes. All types of brushes are eligible including powder, foundation, contour, eye shadow and liner brushes.  We will never ship the same brush twice.
How to subscribe: Click here for my referral link! They actually have a pretty cool referral program, where you get points for referrals which translate into brushes. YOU get a brush! And YOU get a brush! WE ALL GET BRUSHES!
This month, the theme was very “festival” which I just think is funny now. I laughed at the Festie Fun List. Damn, I am fresh out of crop tops, flower crowns and body bling!
I am obsessed with the brushes this month! These are from Morphe’s Rose Gold Collection which I just LOVE. My pupils just turn into hearts when I look at all of the brushes so I was so happy to receive them this month!
So let’s get into the three brushes! First of all. all three brushes are SO SOFT. Definitely softer than Morphe’s original line, though all of their brushes are very soft. These are just softer. And these are SO PRETTY. Looking at them just makes me happy! I want them all!
R8 Pro Flat Contour ($11.99): I was excited to get this brush because while I do not plan on contouring with this, I’ve seen Jaclyn Hill do a cool technique where she stamps on translucent powder under her eye before doing a smoky eye so she can be kind of messy and then just swipe it all away. I’ve never done a ton of big, glam smoky eyes but I watch so many YouTube videos that I might want to try my hand in doing something a little more creative someday. 🙂 I honestly thing this would be a little much to contour with, but the next brush, on the other hand…
R10 Deluxe Tapered Powder ($14.99): Now THIS is a brush I can contour with! I am pretty sure I already have this brush from their original collection. I bought it because Jaclyn Hill told me to, basically. I love this because it’s easy to get a really soft contour versus that straight line brush above. It will give you a bit more of a wash of color, allowing you to blend everything a little bit easier. I don’t contour every day, and in fact, I’ve kind of moved away from it. I haven’t even been doing it before I film! But you can never have too many brushes and I could probably use this for highlighting or blush, too. And seriously, that rose gold is SO PRETTY.
R40 Deluxe Pointed Blender ($5.99): This is my favorite brush out of the three! I recently discovered how much I love pointed blender brushes because I feel like they help me get more of a faux crease because I have hooded eyes. I just got a new palette, so I’m excited to dig in with this brush. 🙂
Final Grade: A+
I mean, duh. I love brushes. I’m not sure how this box will ever get less than an A from me. I love Morphe products and I am interested in getting more brushes from the Rose Gold line!
