Happy Saturday! We have so much to say, it’s started bleeding over into the weekends now. So when you are sad about not being able to read TheSkimm, you might get a bonus blog entry from us. You will not be informed about current events, but you might see something you want to buy and that’s always fun.

When you are a Julep Maven and you opt to receive your monthly box (as in, you don’t skip it) you get access to their Secret Store which had tons of great deals on polish and majorly discounted beauty products. In short, it’s pretty awesome. I don’t ALWAYS shop in it, but I always check out the deals they have going on.

This month I opted to get a few polishes.

I wanted to get a few blue polishes because I’m going to paint my toenails blue on my wedding for my “Something Blue.” (I hope Matt wasn’t supposed to know that. This will be a test to see if he reads the blog.) I’ve had my eye on the September birthstone polish, Serena, but I heard she was sheer so I wanted to pick up Lacey also. Lacey was in a set called Tartan with Myrtle and Roc Solid and was around $12 for the set. It was essentially like getting two free polishes since I was going to get Lacey anyway. By herself, she is $11 so it was worth it. (In my Julep Swap group, we all refer to our Juleps as “her” and “she” because they are all lady names. It has caught on and I realize this isn’t normal but such is my life now.)

I had a coupon code for a free polish so I picked up Ana. She’s a clear topcoat with confetti looking glitter. They call it Spray Paint Top Coat. I was always intrigued by it but never really wanted to pay full price so I like that I got it for “free.”

In total, I only spent about $23 on 5 polishes that normally retail for around $11/14 each (depending if you’re a Maven or not) so I consider it a win. You should totally be a Maven, too. Sign up here! And don’t forget, you can always use ebates on your Julep Secret Store purchases so why haven’t you signed up? Why do you hate money so much? Sign up for ebates here.

Have a great weekend!
Xo,
Lauren
