I recently discovered professional makeup artist and YouTube sensation Lisa Eldridge through a magazine. I think it was Allure? Maybe Vogue. I’m not entirely sure. While sometimes I fall down the rabbit hole of YouTube watching makeup videos essentially created by teenagers, I was pleased to discover a more… “grown up” take on the makeup YouTube video tutorial. Not only is Lisa Eldridge actually a professional makeup artist to A-listers, she is also beautiful (To me, Lisa looks a cross between Natalie Portman crossed and Mary-Louise Parker), relate-able and in her 40’s. Additionally, she is British which makes her voice quite pleasant to listen to. I like to pretend I am on a very modern Downton Abbey when I am watching her videos. (And she actually did a Downton Abbey themed makeup video.)
Click here for her full channel but I’ll post a few videos that I like below.
Here’s one I watched about how to create that classic smokey eye:
Remember how I’m mildly obsessed with Korean Beauty products? (Re: Memebox.) Well, I’m not the only one.
I also really enjoyed this “No Makeup Makeup” look she showed:
I hope you enjoyed some of these videos! (And maybe started watching more of them!) My back is giving me some issues but I hope to be back soon with more box reviews and other general merriment.

Her tutorials are so good. And I love that she doesn’t put on the super bubbly persona that a lot of Youtube gurus do.
Me too. She’s a grown ass woman not a teenager. I feel like I would like to be friends with her. Unlike some others that I watch that seem annoying. Haha
