Influenster: Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils False Lash Effect Mascara

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I hope you all remembered to wear green today! Today I’m pleased to bring you another product review sponsored by Influenster. I absolutely LOVE receiving boxes from Influenster. Once you are a member of Influenster (which you can do for free here!) they will occasionally send you invitations for surveys which could qualify you to receive different boxes. I was just THRILLED when I qualified to receive a box from Yves Saint Laurent! Most of the products I have received from Influenster in the past were great but most were products you’d be able to find at Target. I love Target– this isn’t a bad thing. But I definitely thought it was great that they sent a luxury brand like Yves Saint Laurent. 

And voila! Here is the highly anticipated product! Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils False Lash Effect Mascara. Whew. What a mouthful! And hey look! There’s Cara Delevingne! That chick is everywhere these days. I don’t know if we have “supermodels” like we did in the old days but if we did, Cara Delevingne would be one. She’s definitely the It Girl of the moment! I follow her on Instagram– I think she has the most fun life.

Check out this beautiful product! I love how the YSL logo lined up on the different parts of the tube and there is a satisfying click when you close it.

I haven’t been using fibrous mascara wands in awhile– I tend to gravitate towards the newer rubber ones. But I’m super excited to try this new mascara! Hey, it’s promising a false lash effect! I miss my lash extensions.

Below on the left I tried the mascara. On the right, no mascara! Check out that volume and length! I’m super impressed!

I could have stopped there but you know what? I didn’t want to. So I put it on the other eye. (So I could sit on the couch and watch TV.) I felt pretty fantastic on the couch, fanning myself with my super thick, long lashes.

I would recommend using a lash comb. I didn’t use one for this test because I couldn’t find one but I think that would help between coats.

Final Grade: A+

I have had great luck testing mascaras lately because this YSL Volume Effet Faux Cil Mascara is pretty phenomenal. I am so pleased that I had the opportunity to try a Yves Saint Laurent beauty product. The quality of the packaging and the product itself were fantastic and it definitely felt like a luxury product. I definitely recommend this mascara!
