Glossybox is a makeup/beauty subscription box with some of the prettiest packaging on the market! I love receiving this box (and sometimes just for the boxes!) but as of next month, I believe my subscription will end as I’ve been paying 3 months at a time. I’ve been looking to cut back on boxes, and I would have canceled this one had I decided before my subscription renewed. Whoops. Glossybox will send a mix of full size and deluxe samples for $21/month. Let’s see what March brought us!

I seriously love these boxes.

I’m loving almost all the products they sent me this month! And I think I accidentally got an extra moisturizer thrown in which I do not hate.

Nexxus New York Salon Care Color Assure Shampoo ($11.99): The first product I noticed right away was a full size shampoo aimed at color treated hair. Hello? This is so perfect for me! The scent is so beautiful also: white orchid extract! I used a lot of it the first time I tried it- sometimes I have issues with sulfate-free shampoos giving me the suds I want. But this one actually did pretty well. I just overcompensated that first time. I’m definitely glad I received this!

I was really excited to receive this Modelco More Brows Eyebrow Thickening Gel in Light/Medium ($18). I’ve really only tried two brow products before- the one from Tarte I talk about all the time and a random drug store pencil I think I used once. So I am interested in seeing how other products work out. This does a good job tinting a bit while also holding them in place. I actually like this in conjunction with the Tarte as a finishing touch.

I was excited to receive two samples of the Orogold Cosmetics 24K Multi-Vitamin Day Moisturizer (full size: $178). I was probably most excited because this shiz looks FANCY. I’m not sure I’ve ever tried any moisturizer that retails for that much. It seems like the price tag is because it contains vitamins, anti-oxidants and actual 24 karat gold which works to reduce signs of aging by plumping and firming the skin. I like to imagine rich actresses using this- just putting gold all over their faces because they can. The card that Glossybox included had a tip to apply this formula to your neck since it easily shows signs of aging due to its delicate texture. It embarrasses me to admit this, but I only recently started putting moisturizers/creams on my neck. My face has been covered in expensive crap for the past 10+ years but my neck has been sorely neglected. I might use this gold lotion on it to make up for it.

I like to try out different cream blushes so I was pleased to receive this Cheek&Lip Stain in Pink from Bellapierre Cosmetics ($19.99). I haven’t used it on my lips but I like to use it on my cheeks with a light moisturizer for a fresh look. Sometimes I’ll even apply a highlighter on top of it to make it even dewier. I will say that this formula is kind of hard… I have to press pretty hard to get even a small amount on my fingers to put on my cheeks. This isn’t the worst thing– this stuff will last literally forever probably. But I just wanted to note that.

This Concealer Quad from So Susan Cosmetics ($30.95) is the only thing in the box I wasn’t super fired up about.  I feel like this is more of a makeup artist thing– have several colors that you can blend to make the perfect color for your clients. However for me, I like to have my concealers ready made! Ain’t nobody got time to mix concealer shades when you are getting ready in the morning! I might try using the darker shade for contouring at some point but I haven’t yet.

Final Grade: A

This is undoubtedly the best Glossybox I have received in a long time! I loved and am currently using all the products except for the concealer quad and I even think I’ll get some use out of that eventually also. I’ll be a little sad when my Glossybox subscription runs out but I believe I have some guest bloggers on deck who are willing to share their Glossyboxes with you so Boxy Ladies won’t have to be Glossybox-less!

I should also note that there was a discount code for Caseable.com where you can create a custom case and put in a code to get a discount anywhere from $5-$100. I’m not sure I’ll use this code since I like my current case, but it’s worth pointing out.

What did y’all think of this month’s Glossybox? Think I need to hold onto my subscription?

Lauren pays for this subscription. All opinions are her own.
