I have to be honest with y’all, because that’s what we do here. I have had this POPSUGAR Must Have box for WEEKS but because I have been so underwhelmed by the contents that I haven’t even wanted to blog about it at all. Jill and I both receive the POPSUGAR Must Have box and it’s normally one of our favorites. This month, it was less one of our favorites, but I’ll let you decide if you like what we got!
If you are just tuning in, for $39.95, POPSUGAR Must Have sends a box of over $100 worth of beauty, home, and lifestyle products. It’s like having a fun, thoughtful friend send you neat presents every month. (And sometimes a weird food item that they probably could have kept for themselves.) Let’s see what we got this month…
Here is everything we got! It takes a nice picture but I’m not super overwhelmed by everything.
The Post Card Pack by Gramr Gratitude Co. ($10)
I just learned a little about Gramr Grattitude Co. They are a subscription box starting at $45/quarter that gives you everything you need to send someone a card once a week, including stamps! This is such a cute idea. I’m doing well on the card front, thanks to Pennie Post and Happy Mail by A Beautiful Mess, but this looks nice also. The postcards themselves are very cute also. They are themed around Fall and Thanksgiving and very pretty. I’ll definitely send these to someone or at least include them as notes in packages!
Capri Blue Mercury Jewel Box in Rain ($18.95)
As I had been putting off writing about this whole box, I had forgotten about this lovely candle, which is actually my favorite part of the whole box, and the item I am most looking forward to using! I love that it is both a candle and then once you burn it, you can use it to store jewelry and other small things. It’s very pretty and it has a very clean scent.
Tarte Beauty & the Box Eye Shadow ($22)
I normally love receiving Tarte makeup in subscription boxes but I have to admit that this isn’t my favorite product. I haven’t really been into powder shadow lately and I wasn’t crazy about the shades. They were mostly matte shades with just a hint of shimmer. I know tons of other gals would love this little set, it just isn’t for me. Here are the shadows, swatched: Taffy, Jellybean, Lollipop, Bubble Gum.
Deepa Gurnani Katie Crystal Headband ($56)
I was actually very excited about this headband! I hadn’t ever really tried headbands like these but one of my co-workers wears them all they time and they look great on her. Turns out, this style just doesn’t look very good on me. What I did notice and really liked, was that this headband wasn’t super tight. Some headbands can give you a headache when they are too tight. This one feels like it will stay without the unfortunate bonus of a headache. The headband is very beautiful and I am glad I can gift this to my coworker who will love it.
Terrapin Ridge Farms Pecan Honey Mustard ($6)
This is one of those strange items that I do not totally understand why POPSUGAR includes it. Food items like this are so personal, it just seems strange to include honey mustard in a box? I’m not a foodie so I just don’t care about things like this. It’s possible that Jill was thrilled.
I am annoyed by this Bingo set by a number of reasons. First, when was the last time you played bingo? Really. Jill and I went to a Bingo parlor several years ago and got our asses handed to us by all of the old ladies around us who were old pros. Turns out Bingo isn’t for us. Bingo isn’t for most young people. People will sit around playing board games but people aren’t sitting around playing Bingo these days. Even if it’s a beautifully designed product. The second thing that really annoys me is that when I tried to go to the West Emory website, it’s so “well designed” that you can’t even look at any of their products, or really anything at all. They just seem so ridiculously pretentious that I don’t even want to deal with them at all. The only thing this is useful for is a White Elephant gift. Sorry, Person Who Receives This As My White Elephant Gift.
Also included was a 20% Capri Blue coupon and the “Special Extra” was a $20 gift card to inkdot.com. Inkdot.com prints your pictures on different items like wood or coasters, and other various products. I attempted to look at the inkdot.com mobile site (because my pics are on my phone) and it wasn’t super user friendly. I wasn’t able to get it to work. I’ll try on my laptop but I am currently unimpressed.
Final Grade: C-
This was not the best box for me. I think the inclusion of a Bingo set automatically lost this month two letter grades because that is ridiculous. I loved the candle and I’ll use the postcards. The Tarte eyeshadow quad and the Deepa Gurnani headband were great inclusions that just didn’t quite work for me, so I’m not taking off points for that!
Normally, we love our POPSUGAR Must Have box a lot more! Click here for my referral link if you would like to try it for yourself!

I could not agree with you more on your comments for this month’s POPSUGAR box. This was my very first one to be received and I was very disappointed to say the least. I will give it one more try and if it’s another blunder, I will not continue with the subscription. I, like you, will use the Bingo as a White Elephant gift. I may even include the food item with it.
Thank you for your continued reviews! They have helped me purchase some great boxes. Unfortunately, this was not one of them but that’s not your fault.
Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas!
Thanks for your comment! We could not have been more confused when we saw the spoilers and saw we were going to get a Bingo set. So ridiculous. I love subscription boxes because they definitely introduce me to products I wouldn’t normally find myself, but sometimes they definitely send duds! I really hope December is better! Last year around this time, we got a beautiful scarf. I think it might have been before we started the blog, but it was really exciting and got me fired up about this box! But then in the same box, we also got a set of pencils. Who uses pencils anymore? I’m glad you like our reviews! We love our readers! xoxo
