This is my January Allure Beauty Box! At least, I think it is. I got this last week and I just got a shipping notification for a different box so… maybe this is Allure Beauty Box Part 1? We’ll see? Unclear.
The Allure Beauty Box is still my favorite beauty box. I’m not sure why it’s not as well known asBirchbox or Ipsy. The Play! by Sephora box is giving it some really stiff competition but it’s not widely available yet. We’ll let you know when that happens, because y’all will want to get in on that!
But back to Allure… If you are just joining us, Allure Beauty Box sends deluxe samples and the occasional full-size beauty products from high end and reputable brands for just $15/month. While I love my Birchbox, sometimes they send things from strange/unknown brands. I like to try the fancy stuff and Allure sends that consistently!
Allure always kills it with the Allure Mini Mag, which breaks down all the products the way Allure magazine would. I heart Allure magazine so, I love poring through this before trying all of the products!
Let’s check everything out!
Trust Fund Beauty in Champagne Problems ($15): I’ve seen this polish brand in other subscription boxes but I’ve never been lucky enough to receive it myself– til now. Trust Fund kind of reminds me a little bit of Urban Decay when they first came on the scene years ago. The names of their colors are on the risqué side, but in a way I like. Their “About Us section: “We don’t care about your inner beauty. We know you’ve got that covered. We take your outer beauty very seriously. That’s our business.” They are dark and have a sense of humor and I think we’d be friends. (Swatched at the bottom)
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil ($25): I have seen and heard about this cleansing oil but I have never had the chance to try it. Thanks to Julep and Josie Maran, I am familiar with cleansing oils so I’m always down to try more. I used this to take off a heavy foundation and my skin felt great afterwards. Since I prefer non-oil cleaners on the regular, I may throw this in my travel bag.
Erno Laszlo Transphuse Eye Refiner ($105/full-size yikes!) I love Erno Laszlo products but the problem is that they are expensive as hell! The second problem is that they work and you want to buy them but… they are expensive as hell! I am going to use every drop of this eye cream and then cry when I have none left because ain’t nobody got time to spend $105 on some eye cream. Maybe in my 40s.
Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant in Lavender-Sage ($8.99): Ugh, ok. So I have never tried natural deodorant before because as y’all probably have gathered, I am not a dirty hippie. I like to use products that WORK and if they are natural, that works, too. But for sweat stopping purposes, I like to go for the real deal. THAT SAID. I decided to try this. Spoiler alert: this is just not for me. However, I respect the dirty hippies (and I say that with love) of the world who like this kind of thing. I have a friend who makes her own and I think that is rad. I’m into the Dove Dry Spray, myself.
Derma E Hydrating Night Crème ($29.50): I haven’t had the chance to try this one yet but I look forward to it, especially since the mini mag said it smells faintly of apricots, since that is one of my favorite scents! The key ingredients are Glycerin, hyaluronic acid, vitamins A, E and C, aloe, and panthenol. So essentially it’s supposed to be super moisturizing. I’m excited to try it at night!
Skinn Cosmetics Caviar Lip Cream in Ruby ($22): I tried this and it felt very light on the lips but it honestly didn’t last very long and all I was doing was sitting around, blogging. It probably won’t make it into regular rotation but the color was really pretty. (Swatched below)
Mally Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Liner in Black Navy ($20): I’m not super into pencil eyeliners but I’m intrigued by the black/navy color. This might look really pretty on the waterline. (Swatched below)

Final Grade: A
I’m really excited about the Trust Fund polish, Erno Laszlo eye cream, and the DHC cleansing oil. I’m glad I had a chance to AT LEAST TRY the natural deodorant, and I’m looking forward to trying the night cream and the eyeliner.
As usual, I love my Allure Beauty Box. You should, too! Click here to subscribe for yourself! I wish they had a referral program because I would be KILLING IT. But they don’t. But you can still subscribe by clicking here.

I love the DHC Deep Cleansing oil as I have dry, mature skin. Glad to see it in a box!
It felt really nice on my skin! I might introduce it to my mom to see if she likes it because she has a similar skin type. Thanks for letting me know it works great for you!
Yay, swatches! Loove that red color, too bad about the staying power! :/
