You know I’m always excited for Allure Beauty Box time! They have been sending the boxes really early in the month, and I love that!

Allure always kills it with their mini mag. Allure is my favorite magazine, so I love reading what their editors have to say about the products they send us.
This is still one of my very favorite subscription boxes because Allure always introduces me to high-end products I want to try for $15/month. I don’t know why everyone doesn’t get this one! It is awesome. I wish they did referrals because I’d be killing it.

L’Occitane Almond Shower Gel ($25/full-size): I love the scent of this shower oil! And it’s a pretty big sample size. I’ve started to spin in the mornings so I have a newfound appreciation for small bottles of body wash. This will ensure my skin is clean and moisturized without having to use a ton of products. And I’ll smell so good, no one will suspect I’m getting ready in a gym locker room. 🙂

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Crème ($20/full-size): I’m not entirely sure this product is for me. The mini-mag says it’s better for coarser hair, to give it a brilliant shine. I’m probably not going to try it but I might pass it along to a curly-haired friend to see if she likes it.

DDF Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer ($85/full-size): I’ve had a chance to use this for a few days and I have a feeling I will be using all of this. It actually sort of seems more like a primer than a serum, but if it’s a combo, that works well for me, too. It has almost a powdery, smooth finish, so it’s perfect under makeup. The sample size is also incredibly generous, especially considering the full-size is $85.

I wasn’t sure what color the DDF serum would be, so I wanted to look at it. After I put it on my hand, it even made my hand pores seems smaller. Haha.

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara (FULL SIZE!) ($6.37): This is a great mascara to so many people, but I am not on this particular love boat. It doesn’t give me the volume I’ve come to expect from mascara. I have been spoiled by this one.

Mally Evercolor Shaping Lip Pencil: I can’t find this specific liner for sale on the Mally site so it makes me wonder if they are phasing these out? Either way, I’m glad I got this in a red shade since I just purchased some red lipsticks that call for an actual colored lip liner (versus a clear lip liner that I use at other times.) I didn’t get a swatch of the liner, unfortunately. Somehow this picture got mixed in with another blog and so I kind of forgot. Next time. Can we still be friends?

Bulgari Goldea ($155/full price): If you are eagle-eye’d you might be able to tell that one of the little arms on this deluxe perfume was broken. That doesn’t affect anything for me since I wasn’t planning to keep it on display, but that could have disappointed others. I used some stick tack to pull it together for the picture. The scent was really heavy to me, much heavier than the scents I like to wear. It begins with notes of crystal musk, orange blossom, raspberry and bergamot. The heart includes golden musk, ylang-ylang and jasmine. The base features accords of velvety musk, amber, patchouli and Egyptian papyrus. It’s not my favorite perfume. The presentation was nice, though. (Broken bottle, notwithstanding.)

Final Grade: B+

I was really pleased with this month’s box! There were a lot of high-value items that I am glad I got to play around with. Y’all know I’m always down with a new fancy serum. Allure Beauty Box is one of those boxes that is consistently good, and it’s one of my very favorites.

I would link to the sign-up page but for some reason, it’s not loading today, so if you are interested in signing up, just google “Allure Beauty Box.” LOL. Sorry I was less than helpful this month but maybe they were having technical difficulties?
