Target has been releasing their Beauty Boxes for about a year or so now and it’s become a box that I really look forward to each month. There’s no subscription, they just pop up once a month and are sold on a first-come/first-serve basis. The price typically ranges from $5-$10, and each month is something different. Occasionally there is a men’s box thrown in, sometimes they are themed, sometimes they have multiple boxes to choose from (or get all of them, no one is judging you).

One thing is the same – these boxes go fast. We always post when a new one is available because they typically sell out in just a few hours. This is the first time I have seen Target release more boxes after they sold out (you might still be able to get one by clicking here), hopefully that means they are going to do that again in the future! I did feel like this box was a little light this time (normally they are crammed with products), but not every box can be filled to the brim. This one was a mere $7 so I can’t complain, especially because they included several full-sized products that value way more than the price of the box.

Umberto Beverly Hills Lifting Powder – $11.99 (full size!!): There is a reason these boxes sell out – the value is so high. They sent this full-sized product, which sample boxes so rarely do. I am down for trying any hair powder/dry shampoo as long as there is no talc in it. This reminds me of the Bumble & Bumble Pret-a-Powder – a little goes a very long way and you need to really work it into your scalp to get great results. It doubles as a volumizing powder and a dry shampoo, which is great for summer.

NYX Butter Lipstick in Thunderstorm – $5.99 (full size!!): I would never buy this dark berry color for myself, but that’s what I love about subscription boxes – I can try new products without regretting it. I didn’t have high expectations from the NYX brand, but the lipstick goes on very evenly and really is buttery smooth. The finish is not sticky and the color is, dare I say it, kind of cool.

Tom’s of Maine Peppermint Antiplaque & Whitening Toothpaste I am pretty picky about what toothpaste I will use, but if a tube shows up in a box I am going to use it. This stuff tastes better than I would expect, plus it’s fluoride-free!

SweetSpot On-the-Go Wipettes – I’ve seen the SweetSpot line at Target recently and have wondered how it compares to more expensive brands (their products range between $10-$15, so a bit higher than typical drugstore brands). Their wipettes are $9.99 for a pack, so I am so glad we got to try three different scents!

Dove Regenerative Nourishment Shampoo & Conditioner I’m not super into cheap shampoo/conditioner, but I do like having small containers to travel with. This line is meant to heal damaged hair, nourish it, and prevent future breakage. I can get on board with that.

Garnier Clearly Brighter Daily Moisturizer I’m surprised this sample was so big, it’s nearly half the size of the full-sized product! I love getting multiple uses out of a sample, and this one should last for quite a while. Plus it has SPF 15!

Final Rating: A

There’s never a reason to rate a Target Beauty Box anything lower than an “A” because each box is guaranteed to be worth so much more than the little price tag, plus the products inside are always so interesting and useful. I am looking forward to trying all of this stuff, especially the hair powder! They always include a $3 coupon to use on your next Target purchase, so that makes this box even cheaper.

Don’t forget to use Ebates to buy your Target box each month!! If you haven’t signed up yet, click here to use my referral link! You’ll get free cash back on your online purchases (that’s right, it’s totally free and 100% awesome). Target usually gives 2.5% back! It adds up.
