This might be my favorite Love With Food box yet, and that’s not something I say casually. This month was really spot-on in terms of quality, variety, and downright awesomeness.

I think the theme is something about going back to school? Those days are long gone for me, and if you’ve ever read my Strong Opinions about themed boxes you know that I find them useless and pretty arbitrary. But it matters not – this box kicked some serious booty. Let’s see what we got this month:
Lance Gluten-Free Cheddar Cheese Sandwich Crackers – I am a little concerned about the increasing frequency that gluten-free items have been finding their way into the regular tasting box, but these are actually not disgusting. Quite the opposite, in fact. They remind me of the kind we used to get as kids – the beautiful era of the 90s when no one cared about hydrogenated oils or GMOs and everyone consumed as much gluten as possible.
Loacker Cocoa & Milk Wafers – YESSSSSS! LWF, if you’re listening, send these to me every month. These are my kind of snack food – it’s practically a cookie (it’s a cookie) but can totally pass as a regular, sensible snack (still definitely a cookie). This pack had a whole bunch of cream/cocoa-filled wafers in it too, so it was a serious treat.
Black Forest Organic Gummy Cherries – Look, this bag is so big that it’s dwarfing the perfectly snack-sized beef stick next to it and making it look tiny in comparison. That’s because this is not a small snack-sized bag, it’s enough for a few servings. Thank you, LWF. Thank you.
Vermont Smoke & Cure BBQ Beef Stick – OMG OMG OMG They sent me another beef stick! I may have complained about the increasing appearance of gluten-free snacks arriving at my door, but at least I’ve noticed that they are also sending more and more meat products to me as well. I’ve had other flavors of this stick and they’re so good. So so so good.
Cosmos Creations Caramel Apple Crisp – This is pretty perfect for a Fall box, caramel and apples go together like pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving. I am ignoring the tiny “gluten-free/non-GMO corn” at the bottom to make me feel like I’m splurging as I eat these. I mean, come on. No one is eating caramel for its health benefits.
Superfood Bunches of Crunches Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt Granola – Now this is some granola I can get behind. I have big plans to pour this bag directly into my mouth.
Orchard Bar Bites Strawberry Raspberry & Walnut – This bar is perfect for munching on immediately before/immediately after the gym for a quick bite to stave off my incessant need to eat things. Sweet, a little gooey, and full of actual food.
GoOrganic Fruit Snacks – It’s definitely confusing to think of hard candy being organic and also tasting super good, but the world is full of mysteries and sometimes you have to just accept that you don’t always know everything.
Final Rating: A+
They gave me meat, caramel, chocolate (TWICE), and gym snack food. There’s literally nothing I can say that’s negative about this box – even the gluten-free stuff was good. Keep it up, LWF. Keep it up.
