Another day, another Target Beauty Box. Can we please make this a subscription already? I’m tired of having to wake up early and write blogs on the fly, whenever Target feels like releasing one. Target, I know you can figure this out. Walmart has done it. Come on!
Price: $7-$10/month, but not a subscription. You just have to sign up to receive our emails and we will let you know when they go on sale!
Box Type: This is a beauty/skincare box that contains products you can find in Target. Some are your typical drugstore fare and others are new, cool products that Target is bringing to the forefront.
Why you’ll love it: First, the value is always amazing – you will only pay about $10 and you’ll always get a few full-size products that make the box worth much more than you paid. Second, shipping is usually free. (It wasn’t one time, but it usually is.) Third, who doesn’t love Target?
So let’s see what I got this time!
EDEN BodyWorks Peppermint Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner ($7.01): This is a nice little duo. The shampoo is a little tingly/minty and I felt like it had a decent amount of suds for a sulfate-free shampoo. The conditioner was a nice weight – not too light or heavy.
Derma e Hydrating Day Crème ($14.34/full-size): This is a nice cream but it didn’t blow me away. It definitely provides good moisture, so it does the job for sure. But if you already have one that you like, this one isn’t worth trying. That said, if you are on the hunt for a new, more budget-priced option, this could work very well for you!
ChapStick Total Hydration Moisture + Tint (Full size! $4.99): I want so desperately to like this. I’ve actually bought this in a different color but I have an issue with Castor Oil and this is loaded with it. At least it felt like that to me when my lips started peeling off. Sigh. I wish I could use this though. There are several different flattering shades, so if you don’t have a castor oil issue, this is for you!
Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer ($6.19/full-size): This is one of my very favorite products of all time and I use it every day! It’s lotion that you put on when your skin is still wet! It’s as easy as that. I just find it super easy and fast so I’m fired up to throw this in my gym bag. (Currently have a full-size version in my gym bag so maybe this will help me lighten my load a bit.)
Laneige BB Cushion ($34): Target sends a Laneige sample in all of their boxes and I am pretty sure I have gotten this one at least three times. So there is nothing groundbreaking here. I actually really do like the formula, and the sponge applicator is popular now. But the color just isn’t quite right for me, so this isn’t for me.
Wet n Wild Pro Line Graphic Marker Eyeliner (Full Size! $3.99): I forgot to take a picture of this one, so I just grabbed a picture from the Internet. I really had less than zero expectations for a Wet n Wild eyeliner. But I was really impressed with how black the color is! Sometimes black liquid liners tend to go kind of grey-ish but this is a true black. The applicator is cool because it is angled kind of like a permanent marker, so you can adjust how thin or fat you want the line to be.
Final Grade: A
Target Beauty Boxes are always going to get A’s from us. The value is always tremendous and it’s fun to try new products, especially since Target has been carrying some pretty niche brands lately.
If you are interested in grabbing the next Target Beauty Box, you can’t subscribe, but you can sign up for our emails (or Like us on Facebook!) and we will tell you when you can snap one up!
