Check out everything I got! ?

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser (full-size! $29): I’ve tried this a few times and I think I’ll end up using this! My skin has been clearing up and maybe this will help keep it that way! The smell is kind of strange but the formula itself isn’t too drying. It’s also jam backed with organic ingredients: Coconut creates a gentle foam that carries away impurities and rids pores of acne-causing bacteria while certified organic lemon, cherry and aloe juices nourish and hydrate. Algae and aloe replenish moisture to keep your skin from drying out while an organic sage, lemon balm and dandelion botanical blend helps to detoxify and clear.

Danielle Creations Pink Glitter Compact ($12.99): I have no idea how this mirror is worth more than $1. I don’t need any pink glittery compact mirrors and I don’t entirely know who would? Though I think proceeds of the purchase of this mirror go to breast cancer research but in my opinion, you’re better off donating straight to breast cancer research.

Replenix Neckletage ($75/full-size): This is a lovely smelling cream that is supposed to help tighten your neck. The Before/After shots look pretty amazing but I didn’t have enough to really see a difference in myself. Also, I’m still young enough where I don’t have major neck issues. That said, this is always a good reminder to use great moisturizers on your neck!

Luzern Laboratories Serum Absolut We3 ($140/full-size): This is a pretty fancy serum but mostly seems like a moisturizing one. The site says it’s anti-aging but I don’t really see any major anti-aging ingredients in it, though there is a blend of peptides, botanicals, Swiss mountain water and hyaluronic acid. I seriously don’t understand the Swiss mountain water but the hyaluronic acid definitely helps keep skin moisturized!

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil ($75/full-size): This is an oil that will help create a barrier to keep skin moisturized. Oils are a big trend in the skincare world right now and I think this particular one is going to be great in the winter months. Hopefully Texas will get a winter this year (fingers crossed!) and I’ll be able to use all these super moisturizing products I have been saving.

LashFOOD Phyto-Medic Eyelash Enhancer ($80/full-size): While I haven’t had the chance to use this myself, reviewers on the DermStore site have seen major results, which is really interesting. I have pretty decent (though blonde) lashes and an amazing mascara but I might try this at some point and see what all the fuss is about.

Dermstore Lip Quench ($12 – full size!): Luckily for me, this is a lip product without castor oil! Woohoo! I thought this was going to be a lip balm, and it is but it also has a slight light pink tint to it. Moisturizing and has a slight color to help you with that no-makeup makeup look.

Neuma Neustyling Smoothing Crème ($24/full-size): I haven’t used this yet because usually products like this are too heavy on my hair, but a reviewer on the site said they had a similar hair type as me and it did a great job taming flyaways, so I think I am going to give this a second look.

Final Grade: B

The October 2016 BeautyFix was OK. While I liked it OK, it definitely didn’t impress me the way that previous boxes have. (Don’t even get me started on that mirror.)

If you want to sign up for a BeautyFix box, leave you email in the comments below, or email me at ThoseBoxyLadies@gmail.com, and they will give you $10 to spend at DermStore.com which you can apply to the cost of your first box. Kind of a no brainer when you see how much you receive! Let me know!

A self-proclaimed beauty junkie/hoarder with a serious Sephora problem. This blog is a total rationalization of that problem. Everything is TOTALLY fine. Her free time is a mixed combination of making fun of reality TV with her husband, hanging out with cats and finally trying to figure out how to do her hair.
