I’m still new to the Allure Beauty Box, but I’m really digging it so far. This month’s box was pretty awesome – it had a few products I’ve been wanting to try, plus it had TWO full-sized products!

ALLURE BEAUTY BOX

Price: $15.00/month

Box Type: Monthly beauty box featuring 6 high end beauty product samples (and sometimes full-sized products!).

Why you’ll love it: Top brands, great price, new products that you will love! A great way to sample expensive products without committing to the price tag. Each box comes with an Allure mini-magazine that showcases each product and is as quality as you’d expect from a magazine powerhouse like Allure.

Let’s see what was included this month:

Tatcha Indigo Soothing Silk Body Butter ($48 for full size): I’ve wanted to try this blue cream for a while. I love Tatcha’s skincare products, so it would stand to reason that I would love their body products as well. Turns out, I do.

Spongelle Freesia Pear Limited Edition Buffer ($15, received full-size!): I have received Spongelle sponges in previous boxes so this is not a new brand for me. This limited edition scent is new though, and I LOVE how it smells. It’s gently perfumed, not overwhelming, and the sponge leaves your skin exfoliated and soft.

Mally Volumizing Mascara ($20, received full-sized!):  Holy crap, you guys. Two full-sized products in one sample box! Up until recently I’ve had lash extensions and therefore no use for mascara, but I’ve decided that with my growing mascara collection (thanks, subscription boxes), that it’s prudent to take a break from the pricey lashes and give mascara a go for a while. What I’m saying is that this was well timed.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask ($9 for size received): I have also received samples of this in previous boxes, but this is actually a size that Sephora sells, so it’s a pretty big sample. I use pretty heavy conditioners every time I wash my hair, so I rarely use ultra-conditioning masks, but when I’ve used this in the past I’ve noticed that my hair is fuller and softer than ever.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk ($10 for size received): Man, Allure is killing it this month with the giant samples. This is another small bottle that Sephora actually sells, so quantifying the price is super easy. This is not my favorite dry shampoo, but if you have dry hair you will likely love it. Some dry shampoos can really dry your hair out, which I happen to like, but if you’re not into that then this softening dry shampoo is great.

Doucce Freematic Eye Shadow ($35 for palette): Doucce offers customized eyeshadow palettes that you can design yourself by selecting colors that appeal to you and work with your complexion. This is one sample color that you can choose from, and while it’s not really a shade I would normally wear, I did find it complemented the colors that I am more likely to wear pretty well.

Final Rating: A

This was a solid box. Not only did we receive two full-priced products (!!!!!!), we also got some serious deluxe samples of other products. Just those four alone were worth $54, and that doesn’t even count the smaller samples we received. That’s some serious value for a sample box! This is my third Allure box and I can see why Lauren has always loved it so much. Looking forward to next month!

XO,

Jill

  1. Did you get a special box? My box had 5 things in it and none of those that you reviewed. I read your post and was looking forward to trying some of those products. 🙂
