It’s December Julep Maven Time!
Price: $20/month but varies by what you choose
Box Type: Mostly nail polish, but also some beauty and skincare products
Why you’ll love it: This is one of the best boxes out there because you get to actually choose what you get! Each month, Julep releases a new collection of different nail polish colors, beauty and skincare products and you get to choose which ones you want in your box.
This month, I got 2 polishes and an eye shadow stick, bringing my total to $20. (No add-ons this time!)
Lula (Pomegranate Multidimensional Glitter) and Missy (Titanium Metallic)
I wasn’t over the moon about a lot of the polishes this month but I thought that Lula looked like a great cranberry shade that’s great for the holidays. And Missy was a pretty, shiny silver, so you can’t really go wrong with some metallic shine around the holidays either!
Swatches of Lula and Missy
Don’t look too closely at my nail but I couldn’t get the lid off of the polish to swatch Lula but I already happened to be wearing it.
Eyeshadow 101 in Burgandy Shimmer ($14.40): Jill has been a fan of this product for a long time but this is my first time trying it and I was really pleasantly surprised! I’ve been wearing a lot burgandy shadows so I thought I would give this Julep version a shot. The formula goes on like a cream but then it dries to a powder and then DOES NOT BUDGE. I swatched it on my hand and I couldn’t even remove it easily with soap and water so this bodes well for long wear time!

Final Grade: A
This was a great little box! I like both polishes and I am pleasantly surprised by the Eyeshadow 101!

Maybe I got a dud, but the burgundy eyeshadow 101 for me just fades away into nothing when I try to blend it! It doesn’t matter if I use my finger or a brush or the sponge on the other end of it, it just sheers out into nothingness. So disappointing, especially because my olive one lasts forever on my oily lids!
