New Year, New Box! Heyo! I saw a review of Gentleman’s Box on another blog and thought it would be the perfect box for my husband because he’s become more into fashion in the last year or so. I thought this box would be a fun way for him to try some new looks without paying Nordstrom prices.

Gentleman’s Box

Price: $25/month

Box Type: Lifestyle & beauty, full-sized products

Why you’ll love it: Gentleman’s Box is a subscription service for men providing the essentials for the modern gentleman. So let’s see what’s inside!

First things first… The Gentleman’s Box comes with an insert called The Gentleman’s Post which describes content under the themes “Look Good,” “Feel Good” and “Be Good.” The contents in the box fell under “Look Good” and also included styling tips and inspiration, while “Feel Good” had things like a drink recipe and workout tips (“Maintain Your Manly Physique” lol). “Be Good” had tips about giving back and a #GentlemansChallenge to spread holiday cheer to those less fortunate. It is definitely very thought out!

And here’s everything we (he?) got!

Remember that time that Matt helped me with the Target Box? I’m going to try to see if he will help review this box but I can’t promise it will go any better. 🙂 (But I don’t think it can get worse.)

Aster Ganos Tie ($90): Matt thinks the tie is “very good.” He likes the color and the length and thinks it’s modern, cool and casual. He is enamoured by it. (His words.) He also said he needs a new shirt to go with it.

DeadSoxy Pocket Square ($25): Matt thinks the pocket square is good. It’s his first pocket square and now I think he wants to buy a whole outfit to match the pocket square. However, he does think that the tie above would go with the new outfit.

Gentleman Essentials Socks ($15): Matt thinks the socks are good. He liked the color because he doesn’t currently have any red socks so he is glad to have them!

Pere Paix Viscose Wool Scarf ($75): This scarf is similar to those lightweight summer scarves that women wear year round but in a more manly color/pattern. The magazine showed this paired with a tan overcoat and brown pants and it looked pretty cool poking out of the buttoned up coat. That said, this isn’t Matt’s favorite. I don’t think he will wear this since his outerwear is mostly black and grey. I will also say that I couldn’t find the scarf anywhere online so I think this price is really inflated. I mean, this scarf would be $12 at Target, let’s be real. When asked about the scarf, Matt said, “Meh.”

Final Grade: A+ for our first box!

Matt was really happy with his first Gentleman’s Box! He liked almost everything in the box, which was great. I did warn him that he probably wouldn’t always love everything in every box but I think this is such a cool way for him to try fashion accessories in a pretty price-conscious way! For $25, this was a great box.
