So… let’s see what they sent us for January!

First off, as I mentioned in my first review, I am just SO impressed with the “Gentleman’s Post” aka their little insert card explaining everything they include. They describe everything under the headings “Look Good,” “Feel Good” and “Be Good.” Most of the things in the box will fall under the “Look Good” portion but this month, they put workout/eating right tips under “Feel Good” and volunteering/giving back ideas under “Be Good.”

I am always so impressed with this. Not that guys don’t deserve such a cool insert but I think it’s better than anything I get in my “woman” boxes. Haha. (Though my Allure Mini Mag comes close. :))

And this is sort of random, but the “theme” of the box is “Honoring Our Favorite Ageless Aussie” and they wrote a semi dedication that is clearly about Hugh Jackman but they don’t say his name ANYWHERE. I wonder if they are prevented from doing so for some reason? But they said this: “The gentleman we honor this January is an international movie star, singer, dancer and producer. Our honoree is best known for his fierce role as a mutant superhero who teams with other deformed vigilantes to defend the world from certain doom.” I mean, that is the funniest way I have ever heard the X-Men described in my life.

Here’s what we got!

Gentleman of the North Socks ($15): I knew Matt was going to love these when I saw them because Matt loves his dress socks and he loves blue most of all. He was excited to get these!

Aster Ganos Tie ($39): Recently, Matt started getting interested in skinny ties and he doesn’t have a lot of them so far so I know he was excited to get a new one, especially in this blue/grey stripe. Blue is his favorite color, so I’m happy that he got it!

OTAA Pocket Square ($10): Matt has wanted a pocket square and I think this is his first! It’s kind of a strange khaki color but hey- it’s the beginning of his pocket square collection.

Auscufflinks Lapel Pin ($15): This is also Matt’s first lapel pin! He didn’t know he wanted a lapel pin but he really likes this one. I’m not sure if he has an outfit planned but he will think on it.

Trade Union Supply Co. Lip Balm ($8): I recently bought Matt some Jack Black chapstick and now he is a chapstick diva. But he does always use chapstick so this will go to good use!

Final Grade: A

Just like with our first box, Matt was really happy with his Gentleman’s Box! He liked pretty much everything in the box, which was great. I think the value of this month was about $60ish which is great for a $25 box! (I also don’t think the value was as inflated as last month’s box, so that’s good.)
