We’ve been seriously dragging our feet on writing this review. Popsugar is one of our absolute favorite boxes, but this month appears to have been curated by a 12 year old girl. You’ll see what I mean.

Sigh. Look at this mess:

A clear purse, a lunchbox, some marshmallows….what were you thinking, Popsugar? I can’t even.

Stephanie Johnson Crossbody Camera Bag – $45: I’m going to pull off the bandaid and start with the worst offender. This has to be the most hideous purse I’ve ever seen. What grown woman wants to use a transparent purse? I understand there are extremely specific times that one would need a clear purse, like attending a sporting event at the rare venue that requires them, but let’s be real. What percentage of Popsugar subscribers are going to use this? How did they think this was a good idea? Was Stephanie Johnson desperate to rid her warehouses of inventory that no one wanted to buy so Popsugar did her a solid and took them off her hands? I have so many questions. My parents were in town visiting when I received this box, so my dad (and avid reader of this blog) was present when I opened it. His reaction when I pulled this thing out? “Oh no. No, no. What IS that?” Even my dad is disappointed in you, Popsugar.

Sunny Life Eco Lunchbox in Watermelon – $18: I mean, really. A watermelon lunchbox? It’s literally held together by a rubber band. I don’t know what else to say about this thing that will end up going to Goodwill. At least it’s dishwasher safe?

Lauren’s note: It’s also SO small. What kind of person has this tiny of a lunch?! I do like this for organizing things in my drawer tho, so not a total loss.

Kate Spade New York Photo Album – $20: It holds 80 4″x6″ photos. If you’re still into getting tiny photos printed, this one is for you. NEXT.

Thrive Cosmetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in Stella – $24: This is the only item in the box this month that I actually liked a lot. I don’t use much highlighter, but I’ve found that cream highlighters are messy and powder highlighters have a lot of fall out. My favorite highlighters are in stick-form, just like this. The color is actually SUPER pretty, especially for pale gals like myself. It really does brighten up your eye area and catch the light in the prettiest way possible. Congrats, Popsugar. This box wasn’t a complete failure.

Smash Mallow in Cinnamon Churry – $4: Ordinarily I’d love a big bag of snackable cinnamon marshmallows, but the fact that this is one of the best items this month just annoys me.

Lauren’s note: Matt loved these so much. They combined all of his favorite things so he was really happy with these.

BONUS ITEMS: $25 gift card to Velvet Eyewear & 20% off Smash Mallow coupon – You might consider a $25 gift card a way that Popsugar redeemed itself this month, but you’d be wrong because the sunglasses start around $175. Right.

Final Rating: D

I am not pleased with this month’s Popsugar Must Have. Typically when they send a box that I hate, the next box is incredibly amazing, so here’s hoping that the April box is a little better. It can’t possibly be worse, right? I’m watching you, Popsugar.
