Welcome back to our palette series! This week, we played around with the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. I’ve also decided to add a palette review to the end of each week. Just makes sense, right? After using one palette for a whole week, I always have some thoughts about them, so this just seems like the perfect place to share. And I definitely have some thoughts about the Naked Heat palette!

And here are some of the looks I came up with on our Instagram page:

So here’s my review of the UD Naked Heat palette: First of all – the quality of these shadows is phenomenal. A few months ago, when this palette was released, there were some swatches making the rounds which made people think that the pigmentation of this palette was total shit. But you can make any palette look like shit if you tried hard enough. These shadows are soft and very pigmented. The only problem with this palette, to me, is that it’s sort of difficult to get a wide variety of looks. So many just look like that coral-y warm toned thing. Which is totally the point. If you love warm toned looks, you’ll love this palette. If you are looking for a really versatile palette, this is not the palette for you. I personally do love that look, so I’m glad I have this. But this is not going to be a palette I travel with because I would want to have more options.

You know, a palette like… The Morphe X Jaclyn Hill palette, which is the palette for Week 3! Right now, it’s sold out but you can click here and add your email to get notified when there is a re-stock!)

I used the Jaclyn Hill palette over the weekend and it reminded me how much I love it! It has some of those similar warm tones as the Naked Heat palette but so much more. I’m excited to play with this palette more and more!

Like last week, feel free to play along with me if y’all have the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill palette and tag #BoxyLadiesPaletteWeek!

See y’all on Insta, and of course, on the blog all week long.
