This month each box came with a fun holiday surprise – a Birchbox eyelash curler! I got the pre-made box this month, so I wasn’t surprised by any of the samples I received, and it was a huge upgrade over my disappointing box last month (tsk tsk, Birchbox).

BIRCHBOX

Price: $10/month

Box Type: Beauty products, 5-6 deluxe samples

Pretty great, eh?

NuFACE Prep-N-Glow Cloths ($10 for full-size): I love that they sent 2 of these ($2/each regularly), because sometimes you need to use something a couple times to get a good feel for the product. These cloths remove makeup, cleanse skin, and contain hyaluronic acid to pack a 3-in-one cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating punch.

Aveda Thickening Tonic ($29 for full-size): First of all, this sample is half the size of the full-size! So this sample is worth $14.50 alone (!!!!!!). I used to be a big fan of Aveda skincare products, but have since discovered products that work a little better with my dry sensitive skin (hey, Drunk Elephant). Anyway, for about a decade I LOVED Aveda. I have no idea why I never tried their hair products, but maybe this walk down memory lane will end with a new favorite product.

Whish Botanical Primer ($35 for full-size): I am always looking for a new primer, especially a hydrating one! I have enjoyed the other Whish products I’ve received from Birchbox in the past, so I have a feeling I’ll like this one as well. It has interesting ingredients like Japanese honeysuckle, seabuckthorn extract, and argan oil, so I’m super intrigued.

Marcelle Ultimate Volume Nano Mascara ($12.95 for full-size): Another huge sample! This mascara has one of the popular mini roller brush wands that have been popping up everywhere. I haven’t tried one yet, so I’m looking forward to having one to play around with! The skinny brush claims to coat lashes more evenly and reach every single lash without leaving clumps behind.

Love of Color Liquid Shimmer Shadow in Stardust ($10 for full-size): Yet another giant sample – it might even be full-size? Unsure. Anyway, I have been using this champagne cream shadow all week and I absolutely love it. It’s a beautiful shimmer in a super neutral color that just makes my eyes look brighter and awake. I have gotten other LOC products from past Birchbox boxes and I also love them – including a really similar color in their One and Done Shadow Stick which I also use regularly.

BONUS ITEM!! Birchbox Eyelash Curler: Until recently I had lash extensions and had no need for a lash curler, but now that my lashes are au natural it couldn’t hurt to have one of these puppies on hand. What a cool bonus!

Final Rating: A+

This box was full of nearly full-sized products that would retail for way more than the price of the box, PLUS the eyelash curler was such a fun bonus! If you haven’t subscribed to Birchbox yet, now is a good time to do it (click here) because they’re running all sorts of awesome sales and promotions for the holidays!
