So I have to begin this blog with some Real Talk. My financial situation recently changed, so I am going to have to let a bunch of boxes go for the time being. I love my blog and I love boxes, but at the end of the day, they don’t come free! (I wish. I’d be open to free boxes, y’all.) So while I’m going to continue blogging, the content is going to be a little different for awhile. And thus, this is my last Julep Maven box for awhile. And it was a good one! There are def some great products that I look forward to purchasing again later, so check it out!
Price: $20/month but varies by what you choose
This month, I got 2 polishes, an eye product, a lip product and my fave face oil wash and my box total was $39.10. (I think. The order history page was kind of confusing.)
Box Type: Mostly nail polish, but also some beauty and skincare products
Why you’ll love it: This is one of the best boxes out there because you get to actually choose what you get! Each month, Julep releases a new collection of different nail polish colors, beauty and skincare products and you get to choose which ones you want in your box.

Love Your Bare Face ($28 – full price): I know y’all have heard me talk about my Love Your Bare Face oil many times. It’s the first step in my cleansing routine and I love it. I have gone through many, many bottles of this and was at the tail end of my last bottle, so it was time to re-up.
Julep So Awake Depuffing Gel Eye Cream ($38): This is a product that excited me the most! From pictures, I thought that the silicone tip might be a little hard, so I wasn’t planning on using it. But it’s actually so squishy, and makes putting on the eye cream a little fun! I really like using this during the day under makeup. In terms of ingredients, it contains sodium hyaluronate for moisture, turmeric root extract and banana extract to soothe redness and irritation with anti-inflammatory benefits, jeju bamboo grass and jeju blossom protects from environmental damage and caffeine perks up tired eyes. Additionally, there is a slight shimmer (not obvious at all) but just enough to look more radiant.
Once I get my Julep subscription going again, I’ll definitely be picking this up again!
Julep Jody – Asteroid Iridescent – ($14): I haven’t gotten Julep polishes in awhile, so I thought I would try this purple shimmer! I haven’t tried it yet, as Emmy is the next on my list, but I’m excited to try it in a few weeks!
Julep Emmy – Olive Ghost Shimmer – ($14): This shade is so unique and was about to try a similar shade from another brand which happened to be sold out. Then I tried a few other colors from this other brand and I realized I didn’t like the formula at all, so it was a blessing in disguise that it was sold out. So I am very excited to use this grey-olive color soon! And the Julep formula is SO good. I forget that when I try other brands (except for the Wet n Wild ones – those are actually bomb.)
Julep It’s Balm Dusty Orchid Shimmer ($20 – full price): I had tried this formula in a darker color previously and HATED it since it’s too… balmy. And it’s easy to make a mess if you aren’t careful. So I decided to get one closer to the color of my lips – sort of a my lips but better type of thing. I like it so far! Very natural and comfortable to wear!
Final Grade: A
For a “last” box, this was a good one! I was a little bummed to cancel my Maven account after being so steadfast the past 3+ years, but that’s for the best right now! Nail polish is important, but you know… not the MOST important. 🙂 I know I’m going to get a ton of use out of all of the products this month, and I am especially excited about the eye cream!
