After last month’s box, I decided not to cancel my Allure Beauty Box after all. And after the March box, I know I made the right decision.

ALLURE BEAUTY BOX

Price: $15.00/month

Box Type: Monthly beauty box featuring 6 high end beauty product samples (and sometimes full-sized products!).

Why you’ll love it: Top brands, great price, new products that you will love! A great way to sample expensive products without committing to the price tag. Each box comes with an Allure mini-magazine that showcases each product and is as quality as you’d expect from a magazine powerhouse like Allure.

How To Subscribe: Click here! (If there’s a space for it, tell them we sent you! They don’t have a referral program but they obviously should.)

We all know that my fave part about the Allure Beauty Box (um, besides the products) is the Allure Mini Mag, which details why the editors love each of the products included in the box.

And here’s everything we got this month! More deets below.

Simple Water Boost Hydrating Gel Cream ($9.99): This is a new product to me but if you read my favorite moisturizers blog, you would know that gel creams are right up my alley. They gave me a pretty decent size of this, so I can definitely put it to the test. Though from my first impressions, I think I am really going to like this!

Oribe Free Styler Working Hairspray ($42): Oribe is one of my very favorite hair brands, but it’s EXPENSIVE. Really expensive. Their Dry texturizing spray is honestly a holy grail product to me. But at almost $50, it’s not one that I buy regularly. I used to use my Birchbox points to get a discount but I don’t have a Birchbox subscription anymore, so I just gaze off into the distance and wistfully think about that time I owned Dry. But back to reality – I am excited to own this deluxe sample of the Free Styler Working Hairspray, as I think this product alone is probably worth about $15. This even comes at a perfect time as I’m about to take a trip and I don’t have any travel hairsprays at the moment,.This is perfect!

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid ($19): As I mentioned already, I am going on a trip soon. What I failed to mention is that it’s going to be an especially SUNNY trip. So now is the time to break out the sunblock samples! I will obviously bring more sunblock than this but I look forward to trying this next week!

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask ($25): I tried this a few times back when Laneige was at Target and they sent out Laneige products in their Target Beauty Boxes. I really loved this product – like the Dr. Brandt Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask I recently reviewed, whenever I used the Laneige Water Sleeping mask, my skin would feel very plump, glow-y and moisturized the day after using. I was sad when Laneige moved out of Target but I’m glad we can still get their products at Sephora

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Creme Lipstick in C211 ($22): This might be my favorite thing in the box! First of all, this lipstick is in the perfect rosy color that looks really good on me. It was hard to find a list of ingredients but from what I can find, I don’t think it has castor oil in it. Yay! It’s also a really comfortable, creamy formula. Double yay! I’m so tired of liquid lipsticks so formulas like this are a welcome change.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation ($43): I’ve actually tried a sample of this foundation previously and I like it! It’s very lightweight – almost like a BB cream. This doesn’t have a ton of coverage but it does help even skin out a little bit on those no makeup-makeup days where you don’t need too much. A great thing about this foundation is that it has an awesome shade range, so no matter what color your skin is, you’re bound to find your color.

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Liner ($22): I don’t wear liquid liner very often because on hooded eyes, honestly, what is the point? But when I DO wear liquid liner, THIS is the one I wear. I received this in a subscription box a long time ago and I am pretty sure I still have it and I’m pretty sure it’s still just black as it was on day one. This makes the blackest, finest line, making it really easy to apply. For whatever reason, Kat von D’s liquid liner in Trooper is all the rage and I feel like it dries up almost immediately. I never get a super black line from that one and I have no idea why people like it so much, and why this Eyeko liner gets no hype. It’s really good, and y’all should def check it out if you are in the market for a black liner.

Final Grade: A+

I am so glad I re-subscribed to this box! The March Allure Beauty Box was spectacular. A great array of products and brands. I will happily use all of these products and I’m actually quite excited about all of them! The lipstick is basically my perfect shade, that eyeliner is my number one fave, I’m obsessed with anything Oribe, and I’m really pleased that Allure has started customizing boxes for us. All around, I am really pleased.
