Remember that time I canceled my Allure Beauty Box? That didn’t last long. But honestly, I am SO glad I re-subscribed because each box since then has been great, and I am obsessed with the April Allure Beauty Box. You’ll see why.

ALLURE BEAUTY BOX

Price: $15.00/month

Box Type: Monthly beauty box featuring 6 high end beauty product samples (and sometimes full-sized products!).

Why you’ll love it: Top brands, great price, new products that you will love! A great way to sample expensive products without committing to the price tag. Each box comes with an Allure mini-magazine that showcases each product and is as quality as you’d expect from a magazine powerhouse like Allure.

How To Subscribe: Click here! (If there’s a space for it, tell them we sent you! They don’t have a referral program but they obviously should.)

Y’all know I love the Allure Mini Mag, which details why the Allure editors like each of the included products. I will say… in the past, the “cover” of the Mini Mag has been a thicker paper, but this month, it was just regular paper. Does this really matter? No. I’d much rather have a better product than a nicer insert that will be recycled anyway. But it was still one of those things which was a nice touch, so I thought I would mention it.

And here’s everything they sent this month! I am obsessed with everything we got, so keep reading to find out more!

Korres Pomegranate Balancing Cream-Gel Moisturiser (34): Are y’all tired of hearing me talk about how much I love gel creams yet? Well I love gel creams. And I am well on my way to trying every single one in the world. I have only felt this on my hand but it feels really nice, and so I feel very hopeful that it will wear well under makeup.

Nudestix Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm in J Mama ($24): First of all, let’s acknowledge the fact that Allure included at $24 full-sized product in their $15 box. That’s amazing. Now, for whatever reason, I can’t find the color J Mama on Sephora or even the Nudestix website. It’s a gorgeous light nude and the formula is awesome – totally comfortable and easy to just grab and put on as you’re running out the door. With this kind of color, you don’t even really need a mirror either. And I know it says this is a cheek balm but i wouldn’t put this on my cheeks. It’s a bit too sticky.

Rahua Classic Shampoo ($34) and Rahua Classic Conditioner ($36): Full disclosure, I haven’t tried these yet but I’m hoping to try this week when I go to the gym. But I look at that price tag, and I’m like, holy hell, these are expensive! They actually sell these at Sephora, which is cool. I have platinum blonde hair so I am being really careful about what kinds of products I am using in my hair right now, so I’m staying pretty far away from drugstore shampoos and conditioners right now. These don’t have any sulfates or parabens, which is nice. I’m glad to receive a shampoo and conditioner in a box I can actually use!

The Original Makeup Eraser ($20/full-size): I’ve actually tried the Makeup Eraser before and I have to be honest with y’all – It works! It really does. I don’t know how it does it – you just add water and removes all of my eye makeup! The problem that I have is that if I was going to use it to clean my makeup off my face every night, I would need like 7 of them. (Maybe fewer if I did laundry more often but let’s be honest…) And at $20 a pop, that would add up pretty quick. So while I do love the idea of it, I probably won’t be investing in more of these.

Stellar Brilliant Primer ($35): I am really excited about this primer because I have heard really good things about this brand. It’s a new brand to Sephora so I’m interested to try more. As of this writing, I haven’t tried this yet but it’s in my gym bag so I’ll hopefully get to try it tomorrow. The Allure Mini Mag said that the editor who tested it said they have oily skin and this worked for them, so it gives me hope that this more “illuminating” primer might be able to work for me! TBD.

Since The Makeup Eraser didn’t come with a full size, they just included a decent sized square, which was big enough to remove ALL of my eye makeup – and I wear a lot.

Final Grade: A+

The April Allure Beauty Box totally killed it this month. From the brands to the full-size Nudestix lipstick to the types of products included, this was a subscription box home run for me. I will use every single thing in the box! I am planning on using a bunch of things tomorrow actually, so I really hope I find some new favorites!
