It has been a LONG time since I purchased a Target Beauty Box. The last several month’s boxes just didn’t appeal to me and I have too many samples that I don’t use anyway so I hit pause. But I got a notification from the Target app the other day that a few were for sale so I picked up a couple because they looked really, really good. They are also selling these boxes in stores now which is really neat.

But seriously y’all – the Wakeup and Makeup box might be the best Target box they have EVER done. Ever. It was incredible and I’m so glad I picked it up. If you see this in store, get it! I saw them in store just the other day so there might still be some out there!

Target Beauty Box

Price: $7-$10/month, (this month was $7) but not a subscription. You just have to keep an eye on the Target app (and in stores!) around the beginning of the month.

Box Type: This is a beauty/skincare box that contains products you can find in Target. Some are your typical drugstore fare and others are new, cool products that Target is bringing to the forefront.

Why you’ll love it: First, the value is always amazing – you will only pay about $10 and you’ll always get a few full-size products that make the box worth much more than you paid. Second, shipping is usually free. (It wasn’t one time, but it usually is.) Third, who doesn’t love Target?

The box came with a card that described all the products (on the back) and a bunch of coupons for products/brands from the box.

And here are all the products in all their gloriousness.

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Face Palette ($8): Y’all. This palette is one of the nicest palettes I own in terms of the actual logistical palette itself. It’s silver, has a giant mirror and is just a great all around palette. The blushes are fairly light so if you are any darker than me they won’t show up on you. But despite the color being overall light, I really like the quality of the blushes themselves. I like that they aren’t super pigmented but give me just enough color to look like I have a bit of a natural flush. I think the bronzer is really nice also! I haven’t tried the highlighter on my face, but swatching it looked nice! (Y’all know I have a hard time giving up my fave highlighters.)

Look at how gorgeous this is! I love it so much. It’s def made it into my regular rotation.

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blending Brush ($6): This isn’t the shape of a brush I use a lot, as it’s kind of like a fan brush but a little thick. Though this might be nice for blending your blush/highlight/bronzer if any of those things was a bit too intense.

Sonia Kashuk Brush Cleaning Wipes ($9/pack of 10): I haven’t used this yet but I think it seems like this type of product would be good to travel with so you wouldn’t have to bring a separate brush cleaner. I think I will throw it in my travel bag or maybe my gym bag.

Dove Dry Spray Invisible Deodorant Sheer Fresh ($5.49): This was one of the major reasons I picked up this box because I actually use this deodorant already and I want another one! I know I should probably switch to a natural deodorant with no aluminum but I’m not there yet. I love this stuff. I love the dry spray and I love that you won’t get white marks on your clothes with this stuff. I’m constantly getting deodorant all over my clothes so I love the fact that this stuff makes me look like I have my shit together.

Dove Dry Shampoo – Coconut ($5/full-size): I have only tried Dove dry shampoo a few times but I actually really like it! I was actually thinking about trying to dig out my Dove dry shampoo the other day because I was running out of my usual and I knew I liked the Dove. I liked the Dove dry shampoo because it gives me major volume, which is the main thing I look for in a dry shampoo. I could care less if it makes my hair look more clean. I just want my hair to look bigger and thicker at the root. So I really hope this coconut version is the same formula!

Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara ($7.89): This mascara was OK. It wasn’t the worst mascara I’ve ever used but if I’m honest, I am probably not going to use it again. I am really glad that I received this to try because I’ve seen the ads and I love trying new mascaras but I just wasn’t wowed. After using it, I reached for my Monsieur Big mascara to give me a bit more volume. That said, my Monsieur Big mascara is $25, which is a lot for mascara. But I’d rather pay $25 for a mascara that gives me what I’m looking for than $8 for just a mediocre mascara, ya know?

Honest Beauty Makeup Remover Wipes ($2.50/7): I can always use more makeup remover wipes. I love them. I stuck them in my gym bag because occasionally I have a major eyeshadow fallout situation that I need to clean up. Will I buy these? Probably not. But mostly because the Neutrogena ones (or the Target version of the Neutrogena ones) are just so good.

Are you doing the math here? This box has an approximate value of $33.38. I paid $7. SEVEN DOLLARS. That is insane. I am going to use all of the products in this box, so I am really excited that I got this steal of a deal. Seriously, check your local Targets to see if you can find this box! They are still showing on sale at a Target near me!

I’ll be back with a review of the other Target box next time!
