First of all, I want to apologize for the spotty posts over the last couple weeks. I was dealing with some health issues and honestly, I was just a bit uninspired to write. I needed to take a bit of a break. Jill is incredibly busy running a business while at the same time, trying to open a new business, so I’m always grateful whenever she has the time to write, but understandably, she doesn’t have much.
But I’m back and hopefully a bit more inspired. There are a few products coming out that I’m really excited about so I just wanted to talk about a few of them here!
The biggest launch I am excited about is round 2 of the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe collaboration – The Vault. This time, she is releasing four smaller palettes, each with a different color story! Each palette is $15, which I think is a great price, but you can get all four for $49 (less if you use an Influencer’s affiliate code.) At first, I was really looking at the second and fourth ones because I do have similar warm toned palettes. The first red/orange one is very similar to the first Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette. But then I realized this smaller palette would be easier to travel with, and I love the formula, so I’m excited to get all four of them from the Morphe website the day they come out – June 26!
Morphe also came out with some new lip glosses ($8 each!), which I am excited about! I am going to pick up a few when I get the Jaclyn Hill Vault. I hope I like the formula because the colors are gorgeous and the price is nice.
Stila just launched their Vivid and Vibrant collection that I am really excited about! I do think the colors are a little strange for a summer collection, as these colors just SCREAM “Autumn” to me. I am particularly excited about the new Shimmer and Glow shadows – that blue! That green! Ahhhh they are so pretty! I am also eyeballing those eyeshadow duos – It’s hard to tell exactly what the formula is – they might be a cream? Or maybe they are just super foiled. Either way, I am really excited about them. There are some Tarte shadows (Tarte Chrome Paints) that look similar and since I’m not supporting Tarte right now, these might fit the bill. I also think the Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liners look really nice. I would consider buying the whole dang collection if they didn’t come with liquid lipsticks. I don’t care for the Stila liquid lipstick formula – they are super dry to me. Man – if they were lip glosses tho- I might be $300 poorer right now. But that’s ok. Right now, the collection is only available as a full bundle, but I’m sure they will be available individually soon enough.
Wet n Wild just launched their Flights of Fancy collection – and you can actually get the whole thing for $35. (That’s a far cry from $300!)
I actually picked up two of these blushes because… well, look at them! I love that they have the imprint of a hummingbird, which makes these shimmery blushes look a lot more than $5! These will be coming this week, so I’ll let you know what I think of them soon enough. I actually want to do a Wet N Wild brand review since I’ve accumulated a lot of their products lately, so stay tuned for that!
So these are a few things I’m looking forward to! Are there any new releases you are excited about? Are you going to get the new Jaclyn Hill vault, too?
xo,
Lauren
