I think it’s obvious by now that I pretty much buy makeup and jewelry whenever I want. However, there are a few products out there that I can’t totally rationalize so I tend to save them for my Birthday/Christmas Wish Lists. Since my birthday is rolling around, I thought I would share what’s on my list.
I added a few items from Melt Cosmetics ever since I rediscovered how much I love the Rust Stack. I actually got it for Christmas, but since I think I got five eyeshadow palettes for Christmas, it kind of got pushed to the side. But now I’m obsessed with it and I want to try a few other things!
First up, the Twenty Seven Palette ($58). Now, I realize this is basically a warm neutral palette, but as ubiquitous as they are, I actually don’t have a lot of these colors. The closest I have is the Jaclyn Hill palette and it’s huge, so I wanted something a little smaller for ease of packing in my gym bag. However, it’s pricy, so I didn’t really feel like splurging on my own, so this was a perfect birthday list item. If you remember, I was considering getting the full upcoming Jaclyn Hill Vault. However, one of the palettes looks so similar to this one and the Melt one will very likely be of better quality, so I think I’m only going to pick up two of the Jaclyn Hill palettes when they finally release. They were supposed to come out in June but they said there was a manufacturing error so they delayed the launch.
The Twenty Seven Palette is a limited-edition palette, so you have to be subscribed to their emails to know the certain dates and times this will be on sale. Sometimes you need to know a password. For example, I set an alarm for 2pm on the 4th of July so I could help my mom buy this for me for my birthday because having to explain times and passwords to my mom just for buying makeup is just TOO MUCH. But let’s be honest, it’s too much for most people. It’s a lot. It’s not currently on sale because obviously, it’s not the 4th of July at 2pm. But if you are interested in the palette, you can click this link and sign up to be notified when it goes on sale again. IF it goes on sale again. It’s limited edition, so it’s hard to tell.
Next, I’m super interested in the Baby Girl Stack ($58). After my success with the Rust Stack, I really wanted to get more Melt Stacks. Essentially, Melt’s original packaging are these little magnetic circle pans that stack together. It’s so unique and most of them tell an interesting color story. I really don’t have a lot of coral-y shades like the Baby Girl Stack. The Melt shadows are typically really nice, and super blend-able. However the stacks are a bit pricy, so I feel better asking for them on a special occasion. LIKE MY BIRTHDAY.
Because I love my Melt Highlight in Stargazer ($39) so much, I thought I would try one of their Blushes in Honey Thief ($22). This looks like a beautiful, pretty neutral shade that can be worn with a variety of eye looks.
Y’all know my obsession with Baublebar.com and there are a few pieces that I am really interested in, especially because some of them are a bit pricier and recently went on sale!
Baublebar Saralise Drop Earrings ($20): I think these earrings are SUPER unique. I really haven’t ever seen anything like them before. The top part of the tail kind of follows the curve of your ear, while the bottom part curls down behind your ear. I feel like I’m describing this badly, let me find a better picture.
See? Now it makes sense. How cool is that? And they used to be $36 and now they are $20! What a bargain.
Baublebar Pallone 18k Gold Plated Hoop Earrings ($30): These actually aren’t super unique to me but I have seen much more expensive designers release very similar designs for hundreds of dollars. I think these are really pretty and are delicate enough to be worn every day. These used to be $62 but are on sale! The gold is sold out but you can get these in sterling silver for $30! Woo!
Sirena 18K Gold Plated Drop Earrings ($35): These are really unique to me as well, but not quite as big as the ones I just described. I feel like these are very classic, but like New Classic. Classic with a twist? In my mind, I am wearing my silk white/black polkadot shirt with the secretary bow with these earrings. These are now sold out but they were $62, marked down to $35 which was a great deal. (I’m really hoping that my husband/family bought some of these things when they were on sale before they sold out!)
Calore 18K Gold Plated Ear Crawlers ($48): Unfortunately, these are not on sale but these remind me of a necklace I got from Baublebar from my Mother-in-Law for Christmas, and I wear it at least three times per week. Baublebar did get a little uppity with their 18k line, but it really is amazing quality and the price seems extremely fair to me. These look unique but also simple enough for every day.
Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette ($42): I have been thinking about this palette for a long time. On the one hand, it’s pretty basic but on the other hand, I really love it and want it? Since it is fairly basic, I feel a little guilty buying it for myself but FOR MY BIRTHDAY… totally fair game. The foiled shades look very similar to ones from Makeup Geek I use all the time when I’m going for easy, breezy light makeup. I feel like this palette is fantastic for everyday makeup looks when I’m not trying to create A Look. But there is also a purple and blue so you could jazz it up a bit if you wanted to.
Quay Australia High Key Mini ($65): This is likely because I love Desi Perkins so much but I do really love the look of these aviators. Will they make me as cool as Desi? One way to find out.
Tratto 18K Gold Plated Earring Duo ($68): These would totally be on my wish list if they were available. Right now they are waitlist only, which is a bummer. But someday… they will be mine, because I am totally on the waitlist.
