It’s been a little while since I’ve done a favorites blog and I’ve been loving quite a few products lately and I really wanted to share them with you!

Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil ($55-$105): This first product came as quite a surprise to me. I hadn’t really used Sunday Riley products for any length of time, so while I hear they are great all the time, I’ve never really experienced that for myself.

I received a deluxe sample of the Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil in the July Allure Beauty Box. Right around that time, I ran out of my Drunk Elephant TC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, so I started using this stuff on a whim. Quite honestly, I’m not sure my skin has ever looked better, and I’ve only been using it for a couple weeks. At night, I’ve been using a couple drops as a combo of a serum and night cream, as the oil is very moisturizing on its own. But somehow, it also magically contains retinol without being drying at all, so my dark spots (residual blemishes) have been lighter, and my skin is overall more glowy. I will definitely be buying the full-size of this.

The only negative thing I can say about this stuff is that the scent is pretty strong and weird – very herby/woodsy. However, the scent does dissipate quickly, so it’s not really that big of a deal. I would also say the price is a negative as well, but I do feel like a little goes a long way, so I think even if I get the half-ounce size, it will last me a long time since I am only using a few drops at a time.

Melt Cosmetics Rust Stack ($58): Matt actually bought this for me last Christmas, but I received a bunch of palettes at the time, so I sort of pushed this aside until recently –And then I realized how amazing it is. The mustard-y brown shade, Rubbish, is incredible.

From left to right: Rott, Rust, Rubbish, Antique

Full disclosure: This palette actually comes with a bone shade called Antique, but in my mind, it was part of a different stack, so I didn’t grab it to photograph. But I promise – you would not be able to see the swatch on my arm because it’s essentially the same color! But it’s great for highlighting brow bone and setting shadow primer!

I know this seems like a fairly basic neutral palette, but to me, it’s sort of a neutral palette, with an edge. It’s a little grungy. I really love some of the looks I’ve gotten with it, so this is definitely a new favorite.

This was one of my favorite looks that I did with the Melt stack!

Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation in Light Ivory ($8.99): I know I am a broken record about this foundation, but this favorites list would be incomplete without my current ride-or-die foundation! I’ve recently tried mixing in a few different high-end foundations into my routine and I just do not like the results as much as my Wet n Wild! It’s very light coverage, but with my Luna Night Oil, I really don’t need a ton of coverage right now, and I feel like my skin tone just looks a bit more even and natural.

I apply this in a few different ways, depending on my mood – not really for any particular reason. Sometimes I will use a flat-top kabuki brush (like this E6 from Morphe – $15), but other times, I will use a damp beauty sponge. Either way, I just really enjoy the look of it, and I will be returning the recent Benefit Hello Happy foundation I recently purchased because I love this one so much!

Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam ($18): I recently started getting into cream products, and this blush is one of my very favorite discoveries. Beam is a soft peach shade that looks like a very natural flush.  This formula is awesome, it goes over foundation and/or powder products really well without causing any issues. I tend to just squirt out a little bit of the product on my hand and dot it on my cheeks with my finger, then blend it out with a sponge.  I plan on getting a few more of the colors the next time I place a Glossier order: Dusk, a brownish nude, and Puff, a light cool pink.

Catrice Rock Couture Extreme Volume Mascara ($7.99): I have been testing a bunch of different mascaras lately – a LOT of high-end ones, actually. And somehow, I keep coming back to this $8 drugstore mascara. On lighter makeup days, I will use this mascara alone. However, I do really love to layer it on top of a more volumizing mascara (like the Milk Kush, or Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir) and this helps to keep my lashes thick but also separated. I particularly love this on my bottom lashes, which are a bit out of control. I really do think I have some sort of genetic deformity, as my lower lashes are pretty much just as long as my top lashes, which is… excessive. So this mascara definitely coats and defines them (and that brush head really helps) but doesn’t make them look 12 feet long, which is not the look I am going for.

I’ve recently gone even more blonde, and I’m relying on a few different shampoos to help keep me this way. The best thing for white hair is to never wash it but because of my working out lifestyle, I do have to wash it regularly. So I try to alternate between a few different shampoos:

First, the Celeb Luxury Gemlites in Anti-Yellow Whitener ($35) is a great shampoo that helps deposit actual color to keep my hair white, and not brassy or yellow. Next, I use the DevaCurl No-Poo Shampoo ($22), which doesn’t lather, so it is very gentle on color-treated hair. I also use Joico Color Balance Purple Shampoo ($16.00) to help prevent brassiness as well.

So these are some of my current faves! I’d love to hear yours so please let me know what products you are loving lately!
