I’m trying something new. I’m deviating from my usual frivolity of beauty boxes in favor of a subscription box with natural cleaning and body products from The Honest Company. If you’ve been paying attention like I have, you know that Jessica Alba founded this company with Chris Gavigan in order to find not only effective, but unquestionably safe, eco-friendly, beautiful, convenient, and affordable products for their babies and home. I haven’t ever used any of their products before but since I am in Full Time Nesting Mode, I want to keep my home fresh and clean with products that are safe for our critters running around. (For the record, we have cats. Not varmints.)

essentials bundle

I decided to start with the trial that includes their Shampoo + Body Wash (which I’m sort of skeptical about because these are separate products to me), Face and Body Lotion (same skepticism), their Multi-Surface Cleaner (I am very excited about this), Healing Balm (I’m intrigued) and Hand Soap (Can you ever have enough hand soap?)

Once you’ve started your trial, you have 7 days to cancel. If you don’t cancel, you can choose 5 products out of their growing range of products for $35.95/month in what they call “Bundles.” You can also schedule when you want your Bundles to come so if you don’t need it every month, you can schedule it out further, from what I understand.

Since I can’t settle down, I have already chosen the products I’ll be getting with my next bundle. (I’ll review all of these products once I have had a chance to test them all!)

Coming up:

  • Glass Window Cleaner
  • Organic Body Oil
  • Organic Breathe Easy Rub (I’m hoping this might help Matt’s allergies)
  • Bubble bath (I did just get a phenomenal bath tub)
  • Toilet Cleaner (Because toilets don’t yet clean themselves)
  • Organic Lip Balm Trio (Because chapstick.)
