The Makeup Show is coming to Dallas! This is exciting news for The Boxy Ladies as the Makeup Show PR team actually reached out and gave us press passes to attend this awesome event! After I picked myself off of the floor after being referred to as press, I started looking at what events I’ll be able to attend! Obviously, Jill won’t be able to come since she’s in Maryland, but my pal Rachel who writes a beauty column for http://www.examiner.com is going to come with me and we are going to report back on our weekend of ALL MAKEUP ALL THE TIME.
This is considered to be the must-attend event for all makeup professionals in the southern plains! Rachel wrote this piece in the Examiner about the upcoming show and I can’t figure out at way to say it better!

Rachel and I will be attending the event and reporting back about all the awesome products and techniques we learn! It’s going to be a fun weekend– I can’t wait! I even had Boxy Ladies business cards made!
Some other things of note:
- A Kitchen Box: Remember when I wrote about A Kitchen Box last week? Well, since then, the gals from AKB reached out to us and let us know they would give our Boxy Ladies readers a discount of $10 off their first AKB by entering code: boxyladiesloveakb.
- Business Card Holder: So after I ordered some business cards for the blog, I realized I needed to get a business card holder because… well, I don’t need much of an excuse to buy accessories. But you know what I found? There really weren’t a ton of cute business card holders out there. So many are fine but look sort of manly or they are over the top pink which isn’t really *me.* So I decided to go on a quest for the best business card holder and I managed to find a really cute one. Since cool business cards for women are kind of harder to find, I thought I would share with you the one I got because I think it’s perfect! This is the Modern Simple Black Box Gold Glitter Card Holder from zazzle.com for $25.95. How cute is that??? They also have some other cute designs but this was my favorite. I’m going through a gold phase right now and this fits the bill.
Love the business card holder! Looks sophisticated Could you post a pic of the actual business card? I’m interested in seeing it. Can’t wait to read all about the show!
