Woooo! Happy New Year to me! I got a lot of fun stuff for Christmas but one of the biggest presents I got was a big ol’ gift card to Sephora! So I held onto it for a little while and pondered over different products and finally just went for it. There were a few hits and a few misses, so I’ll break it all down for you in this blog.

Let’s take a closer look at it all!

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer ($27): This was one of my misses. I bought this online so I don’t think I got the right shade. While this is meant to be a full coverage foundation, I didn’t really love how it felt on my face. I’m not sure if I just didn’t blend it in well or not but I’m just not sure I like the formula. This is going back.

bareMinerals SPF 20 Correcting Concealer ($20): This was also one of my misses but only because I made a mistake and bought the wrong shade. I do like this formula, and I’ve been using it for a few months, so this is going back but only for an exchange in the right color.

NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder ($36): There was a point in my life where I had loose setting powders coming out of my ears but I feel like I have given them all away. Then I realized I actually need it. So I did some research and settled on this one. I haven’t tried it yet but I have the pressed version and liked it, so I thought starting with the loose one would be good. I’ll keep you posted!

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfecter Pressed Powder ($38): Like the above, I feel like i have highlighters coming out of my ears but they are all the liquid or cream version. I thought I would mix it up a bit with a pressed powder version. I haven’t tried this yet but it looks gorgeous. I can’t wait to try it!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23): I mentioned how much I love this mascara in my Best of 2015 post. I had been using the mini versions that I have received in boxes but because I loved it so much, I broke down and bought the full-sized version. It’s amazing.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper ($19): I was taking stock of my makeup inventory and I realized I didn’t have a good full-size black eyeliner. I’ve had this one in the past and I see my favorite YouTube gals using it sometimes, so I decided to pick it back up.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz ($21): This is another product I’ve had before. I sort of flip flop between using this and the Tarte Brow Mousse. The tip is very fine and I use the medium brown color.

The following were all 100 point perks that I decided to add to my cart and these might have been my favorite part of the whole haul!

belif Hungarian Water Essence ($42): All the blogs and beauty sites are telling me I need to add an essence to my routine. Now finally I have had the opportunity to try one and I LOVE IT. Using this immediately after washing my face and followed by the bareMinerals SkinLongevity Vital Power Infusion made my skin feel so fresh and so cool that I hardly even want to put makeup on after! But makeup goes on so smoothly! I am likely go buy both full-size versions and I will keep you posted as to how my skin looks more long term!

bareMinerals SkinLongevity Vital Power Infusion ($48): See above! I love this and I can’t wait to buy the full-size version!

Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Noir ($26): I haven’t had a chance to really play around with this much but initial thoughts make me think of my Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. This is going in my purse for sure.
