We’re a little late on reviewing the March Popsugar Must Have box, but better late than never, eh? Popsugar often gives super high value for the price tag ($39.95/month), plus they usually stuff each box with awesome beauty and lifestyle products. IMG_5810

This month was simultaneously awesome and confusing for me. Lauren and I both absolutely love Popsugar because it’s usually so wonderful, so I can’t be too hard on the confusing parts of this month’s products (especially when the awesome parts are so so so good). We love it so much that we’re going to co-write this post and share both of our opinions (you know know we have a lot of them). Let’s see what was included:

Go-Anywhere Carafe and Water Glass Set by Govino – $14.95

Jill: I love this! I love it so much that I wish I had a full set of glasses for it! This “glass” set is actually plastic, but you wouldn’t know by looking at it. This carafe set is for portable wine drinking, so I am on board. There’s even a thumb indent to help prevent me from dropping it after a few refills!

Lauren: I liked this as well! And while I’m on board for portable wine drinking, I am going to put this in my guest bathroom so we can give our guests water at night. It looks so nice but I love that it’s plastic so no one has to worry about breaking anything.

Classic Rose Gold Watch by Nanette Nanette Lepore – $55.00

Jill: I was not floored by this watch when I saw the spoilers for it online, but I ended up really liking the way it looks on my wrist! The rose gold is quite pretty, and maybe if I wear a watch I’ll actually be on time for something one of these days! A girl can dream.

Lauren: I received a similar watch in a Rachel Zoe Box of Style box, so I am going to hang onto this for gifting. I really ended up liking the rose gold version, and the light band, which makes it work for different outfits.

Book of Beauty, Minimal Makeup by Pixi by Petra  – $24.00

Jill: I really like this palette! It includes two highlighters, two cheek tints, and four eyeshadows, which is perfect for me when I travel and don’t want to pack a bunch of makeup. Plus, the colors are really flattering for my skin tone. I tend to like more natural looking makeup and these colors are meant for that.

Lauren: This is a beautiful palette! Tons of really nice, natural colors. While it is a nice palette, I almost donated it because it’s not something I’ll use every day. But then I thought it would be nice to keep in my desk at work. And THEN, I swatched a few of the shimmery colors and they are sooooo pretty. So I’m glad I pulled this out of out of my donate pile.

Five-Tassel Necklace by Miss Ivy Pearl – $38.00

Jill: I’m sorry, but I find this necklace hilariously hideous. The tassels. Oh my god, the tassels. I just can’t. Remember in The Sound of Music when Maria takes down her bazillion year old drapes and makes all of the Von Trapp children new outfits using the fabric and everyone was horrified because that’s kind of gross? That’s what I’m reminded of when I see this necklace – wearing dusty, moth-eaten drapes like it’s normal.

Lauren: I definitely disagree with Jill about the tassels. Baublebar has been beating me down with tassels for the past year so while I used to not care for tassels, now I like them. And I actually really like this necklace a lot… the problem is, while I love the color, it doesn’t really go with anything in my closet. YET.

Extra Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste by Hello – $4.49

Jill: I’m not super on board with the whole fluoride thing because of how it’s kind of poisonous and all, but damn if I don’t like having white teeth. Conundrum. This may shock you, but vanity won over health and I’ve already tried it. Not too shabby, but not my favorite.

Lauren: I don’t think I pay attention to the news enough (or maybe TheSkimm covered it before I started reading it) because this is the first time I learned flouride is poisonous. But regardless, I am Pro-Flouride because I have used flouride toothpaste my whole life and my teeth are fantastic. I sort of wish I had received something besides toothpaste in my POPSUGAR box, because I have higher expectations from them! That said, I use toothpaste, so this will be used. I have tried a sample of this in a Target box, and while it’s not the mintiest, it still does the job.

Toffee Chaos by Goodie Girl Cookies – $4.99

Jill: YAAAAAAY COOKIES!!!! I love cookies so much I didn’t even notice that they were gluten free until the bag was gone. WHAT.

Lauren: Matt and I both liked these cookies. As I’m writing this, Matt walked off with the bag and said, “These are really good, I could eat a lot of these.” So I imagine that he is going to eat the whole bag, just like Jill.

Bonus Item: LOLA Gift Card for $10!

Jill: I love free gift cards. LOLA is that company you’ve probably seen advertising on Facebook that makes all natural 100% cotton tampons. I’m glad I get to try them for free, I’ve been curious how they are!

Lauren: This seems like a good box for all you tampon users out there. I don’t know what else to say about this without going into TMI territory. I really don’t.

Final Rating: A

Tassel necklace notwithstanding, this box was pretty great. I paid $39.99 and got over $150.00 worth of stuff, including the gift card. Even without the necklace factored in that’s a pretty great deal. Even better, Popsugar began doing a mini version of the Must Have box for only $18.95/month! It includes 2 full sized products each month, so it’s a cool way to get Must Have for a smaller price tag! Plus the products are totally different than the full sized box, so there won’t be any overlap for folks who subscribe to both boxes!
